Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Nears Production: Specs, Features, and Launch Details

Royal Enfield is in the advanced stages of developing the much-anticipated Himalayan 750, a more powerful sibling to the Himalayan 450. The adventure tourer has been spotted multiple times during road tests and even in Ladakh, indicating that it’s nearing production.

The confirmation comes from Mark Wells, Royal Enfield’s Global Head of Product Strategy and Industrial Design, who told MotorcycleNews, “We’re well into the process. I’m not giving you a date, but it’s more than an early prototype. We’re moving towards production.”

Positioning Alongside the Himalayan 450

Despite being larger and more powerful, the Himalayan 750 will be sold alongside the existing Himalayan 450. Royal Enfield has no plans to discontinue or significantly alter the single-cylinder model, ensuring riders have multiple adventure bike options.

More Power and Bigger Engine

Steve Everitt, Lead Designer at Royal Enfield, confirmed that the Himalayan 750 will have an engine capacity 100cc more than the current 650cc lineup, featuring a larger bore and stroke. The expected 750cc parallel-twin engine will produce over 50bhp and around 60Nm of torque, making it Royal Enfield’s most powerful adventure bike to date.

Road-Focused Design with Upgraded Braking

While the Himalayan 750 retains a road-oriented adventure design, spy shots reveal key upgrades:

  • Dual front disc brakes for improved stopping power
  • 19-inch front wheel setup for balanced touring and handling
  • Larger and more powerful engine for long-distance touring

Feature Upgrades

The Himalayan 750 is expected to pack modern touring features, including:

  • TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation
  • Cruise control for comfortable highway riding
  • Likely additional touring-friendly enhancements

Expected Pricing and Launch

Although the exact launch date remains unconfirmed, the Himalayan 750 will likely make its global debut before its India launch. Pricing is expected to start around ₹4 lakh (ex-showroom).

Meanwhile, Royal Enfield is also working on multiple 750cc platform bikes and electric motorcycles under the Flying Flea sub-brand. Additionally, an updated Continental GT is in development, with a possibility of an India-first launch.
