Maruti Suzuki has officially introduced its latest SUV, the Victoris, as the flagship model under the Arena portfolio. Positioned above the Brezza, the Victoris aims to take on the fiercely competitive mid-size SUV market. The automaker is promoting it with the tagline “Got It All”, and the extensive feature list justifies the claim. Bookings for the SUV will open shortly, with the price announcement expected soon.

Safety: A Game-Changer for Maruti Suzuki
Addressing long-standing safety concerns, the Victoris has secured a 5-star BNCAP crash test rating. It comes equipped with six airbags as standard, disc brakes on all four wheels, and an electronic parking brake with auto-hold. Significantly, it becomes the first Maruti Suzuki model in India to offer Level-2 ADAS, which includes features such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keep assist, blind-spot monitoring, high-beam assist, and rear cross-traffic alert.
Design & Dimensions
The Victoris draws design inspiration from the e-Vitara, featuring a blacked-out lower fascia and body-coloured upper section. Sleek LED headlamps, a chrome strip across the grille, turbine-style 17-inch alloy wheels, and connected LED tail lamps add a modern appeal. Measuring 4,360 mm in length, 1,655 mm in width, and 1,795 mm in height, it offers a wheelbase of 2,600 mm. Buyers can choose from 10 exterior shades, including new colours Mystic Green and Eternal Blue.
Interiors & Features
Inside, the Victoris sports a dual-tone black and ivory dashboard, soft-touch materials, piano black inserts, and textured upholstery for a premium look. The SUV features a 10.1-inch Smartplay Pro-X infotainment system with an 8-speaker Infinity sound setup powered by Dolby Atmos. A 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster makes its debut in Maruti’s lineup. Other highlights include ventilated front seats, powered driver’s seat with 8-way adjustment, gesture-controlled powered tailgate, wireless charger, 64-colour ambient lighting, PM2.5 air filter, 360-degree camera, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
Powertrain & Mileage
The Victoris offers two powertrain options derived from the Grand Vitara:
- 1.5L NA Petrol Engine – 103 hp, 139 Nm, paired with a 5-speed MT or 6-speed AT; also available with a factory-fitted CNG kit and an AWD option with AllGrip Select drive modes (Auto, Snow, Sport, Lock).
- 1.5L Strong-Hybrid – 92.5 hp, 122 Nm, mated to an e-CVT gearbox.
Mileage figures stand out:
- Petrol MT – 21.18 km/l
- Petrol AT – 21.06 km/l
- AWD Petrol – 19.07 km/l
- CNG – 27.02 km/kg
