New Delhi, August 11 – Air India Express has rolled out a special ‘Freedom Sale’ to celebrate India’s 79th Independence Day, offering 50 lakh seats at discounted prices across its domestic and international network.
According to the airline, bookings are open until August 15, 2024, for travel between August 19, 2024, and March 31, 2026. Fares start at just ₹1,279 for domestic flights and ₹4,279 for international routes.
The sale is live exclusively on www.airindiaexpress.com and the Air India Express mobile app from August 10, and will be available on all major booking platforms from August 11 to 15.
The travel period under this offer covers India’s most festive seasons, including Onam, Durga Puja, Diwali, Christmas, and more, allowing passengers to plan trips well in advance.
Air India Express is also offering fare categories to suit different needs:
- Xpress Lite: Zero check-in baggage fare, available only on the airline’s website.
- Xpress Value: Includes standard check-in baggage, starting at ₹1,379 for domestic and ₹4,479 for international flights.
- Xpress Biz: Business-class equivalent with seat pitch up to 58 inches, available on over 40 new aircraft added during the airline’s expansion drive.
Currently, Air India Express operates a fleet of 116 aircraft and runs over 500 daily flights, connecting 38 domestic and 17 international destinations.
